NFL Week 1 Parlay Picks And Predictions

Parlays, which allow you to combine two or more sides into the same wager in exchange for enhanced odds, have been one of the most popular ways to bet on sports for quite some time.

These types of wagers are a fan favorite among bettors because parlays offer the chance to earn a large payout on a small investment. When it comes to football, parlays can also provide a rooting interest that lasts the entire day, which is half the fun on Sunday afternoons.

For the most part, parlays are made up of standard moneylines, spreads, and totals. Prop markets can be included at many NJ and PA online sportsbooks but since there is so much variance from site to site in the prop betting market, we will stick to the conventional types of bets that normally fit into parlays.

It may feel like it's a bit too soon to commit to Week 1 NFL predictions but at the same time, there's probably some value on the odds that won't exist within a few weeks.

Below, we'll present a couple of different Week 1 parlay picks to choose from. For more information on how to wager on football, visit our NFL betting guide

NFL Week 1 Parlay Picks: The Two-Teamer

  • Detroit Lions -1.5 (-110): This is more of a fade on the Bears. We don't know who will be at QB for Chicago as Nick Foles is learning a new system and Mitch Trubisky just isn't very good. Chicago has lost six openers in a row so as long as Matt Stafford is in there for Detroit, take the Lions.
  • New Orleans Saints -4 (-110): The Saints were 6-2 at home last year (4-4 against the spread) but are giving under a touchdown to the new-look Bucs inside the dome. Without any preseason, it will take Brady, Gronk, and Tampa Bay a few weeks to get going, and the Saints should come up with a win at home to start the season.

After looking up and down the Week 1 NFL schedule, we like these picks. It may only be two teams, but picking fewer sides gives the wager a better chance to win, plus there is nothing wrong with settling for +265 and not going for a massive payout.

NFL Week 1 Parlay Picks: The Favorites

Week 1 of the NFL season means everybody is doing some guessing. While we may not know just how good some teams will be, we know some teams will be better than others so we'll stick to moneylines for a couple of favorites and group them together.

There really isn't much to explain with a wager like this, all three teams should win if logic holds up. The Super Bowl champion Chiefs are head-and-shoulders above the Texans, especially without D'Andre Hopkins. It makes sense to think that as the banner raises, Kansas City wins again.

Baltimore is the defending NFC North champion playing at home against an inferior opponent. As is Philadelphia, and although they are traveling, the Washington Football Team is 0-6 straight up against the Eagles in the last three seasons.

These are just three logical options to win, regardless of value or spread. In total, it's just a +109 payout but let's see how the big favorites look for us.
